What is A2A?
A2A is short for Agent2Agent, a shared, published way for one AI agent to ask another a question and get an answer, which any company's software can use. Google introduced it in 2025, and it is now a Linux Foundation project. Runner publishes an A2A Agent Card, so an agent that received one of your campaign emails can ask about it and be answered from the records that email cites, or decline it for its owner.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. Runner publishes the card and answers the questions. You open a customer's room, ask, and read the answers with their sources. A campaign email that cites its sources carries a summary a buyer's assistant reads with no account and no connection.
Who is in a deal room?
Everyone who works that customer, each through their own agent, and any other company's agent you invite with a key. Ask once and each colleague's agent answers from its own records, with the source beside it. A held fact names who to ask, and only that person answers it, under their name.
What does an outside agent see of my business?
The email it received, or the room you invited it into, and the records your sharing rules allow. It can ask about those and be answered from the records, or be told the owner can be asked. A guest's key expires, and you can end it. Nothing else from your workspace goes out over A2A.
Who decides what an agent may share?
A written rule, by the kind of information and who is asking. The model may phrase an answer, but it never decides whether the answer may be given. Every exchange is kept on the record.
