A growth team built from your app's code.
Connect your code, and Runner works out what you've built and puts a team together for it. Once it can read your revenue, its advice follows your stage.
Start from your code.
Connect your repository, and Runner builds the team in the background. It works out what kind of product you have from the code itself.
Sign-ups and paying customers.
For software people sign up for on their own, those are the goals Runner offers first. You set the number and the date, and Runner counts only what was recorded.
What your team works on for your app
Companies that fit, every day
If you sell to businesses, the scout looks for companies that fit each day and puts them in front of you to review.
A first hello to each new lead
The outreach lead drafts each new lead's first email as an introduction, and a person approves it before it goes out.
A weekly look at what worked
The head of growth checks which lead brought in the most sign-ups or paying customers, and suggests giving it a bigger share of the goal.
Nothing goes out until you approve it or switch the team on, and then only inside the limits you set.
Advice for the stage you're at
Once Runner can read your revenue, it places your app on a stage and briefs the team for it. It is advice: your approvals and limits still decide what goes out.
- Before revenue: get the first people with the problem to commit, through your own outreach and one community, and charge from day one. No ads yet.
- First paying customers: close them by hand, find the one channel that brought them, and ask the first happy customer for a referral.
- Traction: prove people stay, grow one channel until it brings most new customers, start on content, and raise the price.

Questions about Runner for apps and software
What does Runner read from my code?
What the product says about itself, the services it already uses, whether it has a readme and architecture docs, and any skills it already has. From that it works out what kind of product you've built.
How does Runner know my stage?
From your revenue, read once a day. Until there is a reading, it gives no stage advice, and the rest of the team works the same.
Who does the outreach lead write to?
New leads at a company's shared inbox, or a named person in the US whose address is ready. A person approves each first email before it goes out.
What if my app is for consumers?
If your product is set to reach people rather than companies, the scout makes no company list, and the rest of the team carries on.
Can a lead specialise?
Yes, when something recorded about your product calls for it, such as a skill your repository already has. Runner says which fact it was.
