How do I write the number?

In full international form: the country code, then the number, with no plus, zeros in front, spaces, brackets or dashes. A US number (503) 555-0142 becomes 15035550142.

Does the customer need to save my number?

No. The link opens a chat with you directly, in the app on a phone or in WhatsApp Web on a computer.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. The link opens a chat with whichever WhatsApp account the number is registered to.
