How is the sale price worked out?
Sale price equals the regular price times one minus the discount. A 20% discount on 25 is 25 times 0.8, which is 20.
How many more do I need to sell to make the same profit?
Divide the profit at full price by the profit at the sale price. The calculator shows it once you add your cost: it is how many sales at the discount it takes to earn what one sale at full price did.
Can I use it for a fixed amount off?
Yes. Pick an amount off instead of a percentage, and type the amount. Everything else works the same.
