Build my teamQuestions about the Google Ads Character Counter
What are the character limits for a Google search ad?
In a responsive search ad, each headline takes up to 30 characters and each description up to 90. Each of the two display path fields takes 15. You can add up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions, and Google combines them.
Why does Google count some characters as two?
Google counts double-width characters, such as Korean, Chinese and Japanese, as two characters toward the limit. This counter counts each character once, so leave room if you write in those scripts.
Will Google show my headlines in this order?
Not always. Google tests combinations of your headlines and descriptions and shows those it expects to perform. The preview shows one combination; pin a headline in Google Ads if it must always appear first.
